Vacation in San Jose del Cabo

Wow was that a dream? One of the best vacations in recent memory!
Baja California Sur is so easy to get to from JH. 45 minutes to SLC and a 2.5 hr. flight and a surf session the day we arrived. Weather - Perfect, 75 and sunny every day. Water - 75 and great waves. Company - Girlfriend, friends from JH - Awesome. Accomidations - Don and Gwen once again hosted us in Grand Style. The last few days were at a Deluxe time share down the road, thanks to Robin's folks. Surfing - huge break through(though every time I go surfing I have a break through.) Catching tons of Green Water. Waves 4-8 feet average with some huge ass waves 10 feet or so. Those bid ones a bit too big for me.
I almost cried after catching the last wave into the beach. I did not want to go. I was suddenly trying to think of a way I could stay. I could not come up with a solution. But tasty food, good laughs, fun road trip with some Roosterfish fishing - really exciting, snorkeling with lots of colorful tropical fish. I could not have had more fun.

Photos above is the condo we stayed at with pool and jacuzzi and "Old Mans" break in the distance.
Bait Fisherman-sunrise at La Plyita.
Eating breaky on the balcony.
Eating Ceviche at killer taco stand

  1. Sweet, I get to the be the first to comment on your new Blog.
And what a fitting first post. After all, you are "The Dave Saurman" and who would expect any less of a vacation from you. I want to go next time! I miss surfing!

  2. O.K. - I can't resist. A.) are those last two pictures poached from a web site or what? I know your iPhone didn't take those.
B.) Hi Robin C.) Can't wait to read your reviews of Sci Fi thrillers, cheddar, beer, and licorice (which is hard to spell). And the odd TR ... for instance, "West Thumb to West Thumb Century on May 15th, it was a glorious day, blah blah blah!!" Be There!
Just don't leak how sweet the life is here in Ketchum, Idaho (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

  3. Congrats, SaurDude.
Now we can all see how to live the dream. After a few good posts you will be able to sell the dream on Ebay. Or better yet, start a raffle for charity where the winner gets to spend a week with you living the dream.
